*Neuro-symbolic Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence has developed through these two currents:

1. Connectionism (Neural networks) – Inspired by the functioning of the brain, they learn from data based on their correlations, without explicitly stating their decision-making criteria.

2. Reasoning (Symbolic AI) – Uses formal logic, rules, and explicit knowledge (ontology) to simulate processes of rational reasoning.

Neuro-symbolic AI combines the best of both worlds, integrating machine learning with explicit knowledge representation. Main advantages:
